Custom Clearance

For businesses transporting goods from the UK to EU countries, Brunel Shipping offers T1 transit documents facilitating seamless movement across borders without incurring import charges until reaching the final delivery point, where the T Form is discharged.

The transit declaration (T1) is indispensable when importing goods into the European Union or transitioning goods within EU territory, such as between customs warehouses.

Our services include:

  1. Provision of T1 Guarantee for UK to EU shipments
  2. Availability of T forms for collection in Dover or any designated HMRC border port in the UK

  3. EAD export entries and comprehensive import brokerage at all UK ports, encompassing inventory and non-inventory linked shipments
  4. No involvement of third-party fees

  5. Competitive tariffs for EU-UK brokerage inbound and outbound
  6. Do you need a T1? A T1 transit document is necessary when:

  7. Goods enter the EU with uncertainty regarding their final destination within EU territory
  8. Goods enter the EU for storage under customs control

How long does it take to raise a T1? Assuming all requisite paperwork is in order, including Credit Application Form/Credit Check and signed Indemnity Letter, the application processing time is approximately 60 minutes. Please note, while HSL initiates the application, the time for NCTS to grant the T1 typically ranges from 45 to 90 minutes. Upon T1 approval, HSL promptly notifies the requesting company.
